What are yuzu peel stripes?
Yuzu peel stripes come from the Japanese citrus fruit yuzu. The Japanese citrus fruit yuzu is similar to grapefruit, but has its own very complex aroma profile: lemon, floral, tart.
Fine stripes are cut from the peel of this famous Japanese citrus fruit and dusted with sugar.
These peel stripes, also called zests, are dry, so they are not put in syrup. They have a very aromatic, lemony taste and are not over-sweetened.
What are the zests used for?
The peel stripes can be used as a topping. They give dishes a lemony touch.
